Bella Italia

Travelling is like food for the soul. Discovering the new dimensions of living to me.

Especially Italy, which is like an art of itself. I wonder about her magnificence each time being there.

I wish the time would stop for a while or slow down. On those summer holidays with my family, we try to combine it all together. Quality time with each other by being present, exploring new places, new cultures, tastes.

to be honest, it requires multitasking ability. But I'm glad I'm able to take some pictures in the hot summer Italy, while being with my family and family of my sister who lives there.

How marvelous it is to have the pictures, we can admire the beauty and relive the moments again, remember stories.

The pictures will remind us of all of that. Also that everyone has a different story from the events, that's fantastic, isn't it?

What are our stories then? For example, on one Monday morning we drove to the city called Atina and there was this small farmers fresh market. It was a Monday morning but it was buzzing with people, little caffees full of people having morning cappuccino con cornetto, children having their succo fresco, it was so cosy and lively there, everyone was just totally relaxed and enjoying the pleasant start of the week. My husband got a very ripe formaggio di pecora from the good old sheep shepherd who was enthusiastically recommending it that it would taste perfectly with a pasta dish while talking only Italian and using the Italian body language! With so much passion. Couldn’t resist the temptation then :)

We also got some fresh pastry, pizza bianca, which is basically a pizza bread. But the taste is simply fantastic.

I should ask my children what they remember from that morning in Atina :)
